Definition

The branch to angular gyrus of MCA supplies the angular gyrus and the superior occipital gyri. This artery is considered the terminal branch of MCA.

The cortical area supplied by this artery (Michotey et al.) is the  angular area: the posterior part of the superior temporal gyrus, variable portions of the supramaginal and angular gyri, and the superior parts of the latearl occipital gyri.
