Deltopectoral groove

The deltopectoral groove is a triangular notch in the muscular structures between the medial border of the deltoid muscle laterally and the lateral border of the pectoralis major muscle medially, ventral to the clavicle. This is where the cephalic vein passes and where the coracoid process is most easily palpated.
