The first thoracic vertebra (T1) is the uppermost vertebra in the thoracic spine and is located immediately below the seventh cervical vertebra (C7).

The first thoracic vertebra (T1) is characterized by its articulation with the first pair of ribs and its distinct anatomical features, such as a relatively small vertebral body, a prominent spinous process and an uncinate process.
