The lower thoracic vertebra refers to the vertebrae in the lower part of the thoracic spine, specifically T9 to T12. ugh T12.

The lower thoracic vertebrae are anatomically significant as they transition into the lumbar spine, and present only one costal facet, (others thoracic vertetebrae present two costal facets, a superior and an inferior).
