Fossa supraclavicularis major
Definition
The greater supraclavicular fossa is the depression located superior to the clavicle, bounded medially by the lateral border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, laterally by the trapezius muscle, anteriorly by the clavicle, and posteriorly by the anterior scalene muscle.
This fossa contains important neurovascular structures, including the subclavian vessels and brachial plexus, as well as lymphatic tissue such as the supraclavicular lymph nodes
