Definition

The groove for tendon of fibularis longus muscle of cuboid bone can be located on the sole side of the cuboid bone, nearer to its front edge. It is positioned obliquely and gains prominence from a bony ridge located behind it. This groove serves as a pathway for the peroneus longus tendon as it traverses the foot, moving from the outside to the inside. It aids in preserving the transverse arch of the foot.
