Definition
The infraperitoneal space (subperitoneal space) is one of the compartment of the extraperitoneal space that lies in the pelvic cavity, under the inferior part of the parietal peritoneum, posterior toe the abdominal wall, and anterior to the sacrum.
It contains the bladder, the internal genital organs, the rectum, vessels and nerves.
