Definition
The malleolar groove of tibia is located on the posterior-inferior part of the lower tibia, positioned just to the side of the medial malleolus. The tendons of the tibialis posterior and flexor digitorum longus muscles, originating from the back of the leg, traverse through this groove to reach the sole of the foot.
