Masseteric tuberosity
Tuberositas masseterica
Definition
The masseteric tuberosity is a rough area found on the lateral or outside surface of the angle of mandible. This feature is found near the junction where the body and the ramus of the mandible meet. The masseteric tuberosity serves as the attachment point for the masseter muscle, which is a key muscle involved in chewing or mastication.
