The medial border of the forearm is defined by the subcutaneous border of the ulna. This border extends from the medial epicondyle of the humerus proximally to the ulnar styloid process distally.

Associated Musculature

Muscles closely associated with this border include:

Neurovascular Structures

The ulnar nerve is the primary neurovascular structure of the medial forearm. It courses behind the medial epicondyle at the elbow, then enters the forearm by passing between the two heads of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle, continuing deep to this muscle along the medial forearm. The ulnar artery runs lateral to the ulnar nerve in the distal two-thirds of the forearm. Sensory innervation to the skin overlying the medial forearm is provided by the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve.
