Segmentum P2A
- Synonym: Anterior segment of postcommunicating part of posterior cerebral artery
Definition
The P2A segment (anterior half of the postcommunicating P2 segment of posterior cerebral artery) begins at the posterior communicating artery and terminates at the most lateral aspect of the cerebral peduncle. P2A is within crural cistern whereas P2P is in the ambient cistern.
