Definition
Paramedian plane refers to an antero-posterior sagittal plane that lies lateral to–but in close proximity of–the median sagittal plane.
Like all other sagittal planes, the paramedian plane also lies at right angle to the vertically-oriented coronal plane, while it perpendicularly intersects the transverse (or horizontal) plane.
