Definition
The posterior chamber of eyeball is a narrow, fluid-filled space within the anterior segment of the eye.
Boundaries
Anteriorly: Posterior surface of the iris.
Posteriorly: Anterior surface of the lens and zonular fibers (suspensory ligaments).
Posteriorly and laterally: Ciliary body
Communication
Posterior chamber communicates with the anterior chamber through the pupil.
Circulation of aqueous humor
The posterior chamber of eyeball is filled with aqueous humor, a clear fluid produced by the ciliary processes.
The fluid passes through the pupil into the anterior chamber
Drains via the trabecular meshwork into the canal of Schlemm
