Definition
The Posterior Median Sulcus (sulcus medianus posterior) is a shallow groove running along the midline of the posterior (dorsal) surface of the spinal cord, separating the left and right halves of the spinal cord’s posterior side. The posterior median sulcus is bordered on each side by bundles of nerve fibers called the posterior funiculi (or dorsal white columns).
