The posterior segmental artery of the liver (Right posterior hepatic artery; Posterior sectoral artery) is one of the two main branches of the right hepatic artery (RHA).

The posterior segmental artery supplies the right posterior sector (also called the right posterior section) of the liver, which corresponds to Couinaud segments VI and VII:

  • Segment VI (posteroinferior subsegment)

  • Segment VII (posterosuperior subsegment)
