Systemic arteries

Arteriae systemicae

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The systemic arteries are all the branches of aorta that carry oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to organs and tissues, through the arteries, to the capillaries in the tissues of the body.

In human anatomy, the other arterial system is composed by the pulmonary arteries that carry deoxygenated blood from the right side of the heart to the lungs
