Vessels
Vasa
Definition
Vessels are the network of tubes through which blood is pumped throughout the body. They include arteries, veins, and capillaries, and are essential for the transport of oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and waste products to and from tissues. This vascular system maintains tissue homeostasis and plays a crucial role in immune surveillance and thermoregulation.
