Vas
Definition
A vessel is a tubular anatomical structure that conducts blood within the circulatory system. Its wall is composed of distinct layers that vary in thickness and composition depending on the vessel type and function. Each vessel serves as part of the continuous pathway through which blood flows between the heart and the body’s tissues, supporting the exchange of gases, nutrients, and metabolic products.
