Definition

Tubal branches of the ovarian artery are small arterial branches that arise from the ovarian artery as it courses through the broad ligament (mesosalpinx) and supply the uterine (fallopian) tube.

The tubal branches supply the infundibulum, ampulla, and isthmus of the fallopian tube.

They anastomose with the tubal branches of the uterine artery, which approach the tube from the medial side. This anastomosis creates an arterial arcade along the length of the tube within the mesosalpinx.
