Dorsalis
Definition
For the limbs, the term dorsal refers to the surface facing forward on the thoracic or pelvic limb when in the normal standing position. This term also applies to the corresponding surfaces of the digits.
It is opposed to palmar for the hand and plantar for the hindfoot.
