Definition
Splanchnology in veterinary anatomy is the branch of anatomy that deals with the viscera, or internal organs, especially those within the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities. It includes the study of organ systems such as:
Urogenital system (urinary and reproductive organs)
Endocrine glands associated with these systems
Splanchnology focuses on both the macroscopic structure and spatial relationships of these organs within the body of domestic animals.
