胸廓下口（胸廓出口，下开口）由后方的第十二胸椎、两侧的第十一和第十二肋，以及前方的第十、九、八、七肋软骨共同围成。上述肋软骨在两侧向上延伸，形成一个角度，即肋下角，剑突指向该角的顶点。胸廓下口横径大于前后径，斜向下后方倾斜，由膈封闭，膈构成胸腔的底部。
