定义
掌指关节为髁状关节，由掌骨头的圆形头部嵌入近节指骨近端的浅关节窝而构成，但拇指的掌指关节例外，其更多呈现屈戍关节的特征。每个关节均具有一条掌侧韧带和两条侧副韧带。
运动。——这些关节可发生的运动包括屈、伸、内收、外展及环转；其中外展与内收运动范围极为有限，且在手指屈曲时无法完成。
