定义
蝶甲是从蝶骨嵴两侧突出的弯曲骨板，向下、向外延伸以覆盖蝶窦。这些骨板参与构成蝶窦的前壁和底壁。在蝶甲的正上方，于蝶窦前上壁处，可定位蝶窦开口。蝶甲的下方与犁骨翼相关节。从完整颅骨的底面观察，这些蝶甲不可见，因其被犁骨翼所遮盖。
