犁骨翼由两个翼状突起组成，自犁骨上缘向外延伸，两突起之间以一深沟相隔。这些突起（即犁骨翼）与上方的蝶骨嘴及蝶骨甲介相贴合。犁骨翼下方有蝶骨内侧翼突板发出的阴道突，在左右两侧各形成一条犁骨阴道管。再向下，腭骨蝶突位于蝶骨阴道突的下方，由此形成腭阴道管，又称咽管。
