定义
牙槽突（牙槽骨）是含有牙槽窝的骨嵴，位于承载牙齿的骨上（上颌骨和下颌骨）。
在上颌骨上，牙槽突是位于下表面的骨嵴，构成上颌骨最厚的部分。
牙槽突包含一个毗邻牙周纤维的骨密质区域，称为硬骨板。正是这一部分通过牙周纤维与牙根牙骨质相连接。
颊肌附着于上颌骨和下颌骨的牙槽突上。
