左房室瓣或二尖瓣（双尖瓣；valvula bicuspidalis [metralis]）以与对侧三尖瓣相同的方式附着于左房室口的周缘。
它由两个三角形瓣尖组成，由衬里膜的折叠形成，并由纤维组织加强，含有少量肌纤维。
两个瓣尖大小不等，比三尖瓣的瓣尖更大、更厚、更强韧。
较大的瓣尖位于前方，居于房室口与主动脉口之间的右侧，称为前尖或主动脉尖；较小的后尖位于开口的后方偏左侧。在较大瓣尖的连合角处通常可见两个较小的瓣尖（连合瓣尖）。双尖瓣的瓣尖具有腱索，其附着方式与右侧相似；但腱索更粗、更强韧，数量较少。
