下颌支是下颌骨的尾侧垂直部分，与下颌骨体在下颌角处相连。

下颌支背侧面的吻侧端有冠突，尾侧端有髁突。其外侧面有咬肌窝，对应咬肌的附着带。内侧面可见下颌孔，即下颌管的背尾侧开口。
