Collateral eminence

The collateral eminence is a longitudinal elevation forming part of the floor of the temporal (inferior) horn of the lateral ventricle. It is produced by the inward impression of the collateral sulcus on the ventricular wall. Together with the hippocampus, it contributes to the floor of the temporal horn.

Posteriorly, the collateral eminence continues as the collateral trigone, which forms the floor of the atrium and occipital horn of the lateral ventricle.
