Dorsal Lisfranc's ligament; Dorsal tarsometatarsal ligament

Ligamentum Lisfranci dorsale; Ligamentum tarsometatarseum dorsale

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The dorsal Lisfranc ligament (Dorsal tarsometatarsal ligament) is a distinct anatomical structure within the Lisfranc ligamentous complex of the midfoot. It runs from the dorsal aspect of the medial cuneiform (C1) to the base of the second metatarsal (M2). This ligament is the most superficial of the Lisfranc ligaments, lying above the interosseous (Lisfranc's ligament proper) and plantar Lisfranc ligaments.
