Definition
The infrahyoid branches of ansa cervicalis innervate the infrahyoid muscles, including the sternohyoid, sternothyroid, and omohyoid muscles. These are long strap-like muscles and their upper and lower portions are innervated by the superior and inferior roots of the ansa cervicalis.
