Definition

Antoine Micheau

The intermediate cuneiform facet of the navicular bone is the articular surface on the distal aspect of the navicular that interfaces with the intermediate cuneiform. This facet is typically triangular in shape and is located between the facets for the medial and lateral cuneiforms.

Morphometric studies show that the mean height of the intermediate cuneiform facet is approximately 20.4 mm and the mean width is about 16.9 mm, based on cadaveric measurements.
