The left hypochondriac region is defined as the anatomical area of the abdomen located in the upper left portion, just inferior to the left costal margin and lateral to the epigastric region. This region corresponds to the left upper quadrant and contains key organs including the spleen, stomach, splenic flexure of the colon, tail of the pancreas, left kidney (upper pole), and left adrenal gland.
