Tuberculum intercondylare mediale

  • Synonym: Medial intercondylar spine; Medial tibial spine

Definition

The medial intercondylar tubercle is the elevated bony prominence that signifies the medial boundary of the intercondylar eminence within the intercondylar region. It corresponds to the raised lateral edge of the articular surface of the medial condyle of the tibia.

Similarly, the lateral intercondylar tubercle demarcates the lateral extent of the intercondylar eminence.
