Definition

Antoine Micheau

The right marginal branch of the right coronary artery (often referred to as the acute marginal branch) is a vessel that arises from the right coronary artery (RCA) as it courses along the right atrioventricular groove. This branch supplies the right ventricular free wall and is one of several right ventricular muscle branches originating from the RCA. The right marginal branch is most commonly found in the mid segment of the RCA, and its anatomical course is along the acute margin (inferior border) of the heart, extending toward the apex.
