Tendon of stapedius muscle
Tendo musculi stapedis
Definition
The tendon of stapedius muscle is the short, fibrous extension of the stapedius muscle, which connects the muscle belly (within the pyramidal eminence) to its site of action on the stapes. Although minute, this tendon plays a crucial role in controlling the vibrations transmitted through the auditory ossicles.
