The trabeculae of a lymph node are extensions of the connective tissue capsule that penetrate into the node, providing structural support and compartmentalization. These trabeculae form a framework within the lymph node, creating pathways for blood vessels and lymphatic sinuses. They are composed of collagen fibers and may contain smooth muscle cells.
