Triangular fossa
Fossa triangularis
Definition
The triangular fossa is the anatomical depression found in the upper portion of the auricle, nestled between the superior and inferior crura (limbs) of the antihelix. It is located superior to the concha.
It is essential to distinguish the triangular fossa from the scapha, a groove situated between the helix and the antihelix, lying posteriorly and more laterally relative to the triangular fossa.
