Definition
The triangular part of inferior frontal gyrus, referred to as the pars triangularis, is a specific region of the inferior frontal gyrus which lies between the anterior horizontal and ascending rami of the lateral sulcus in the brain.
Both the triangular part of inferior frontal gyrus and the orbital part (pars orbitalis) are regions where the Broca’s motor speech area is located in the dominant cerebral hemisphere, which is typically the left hemisphere.
