Vena caudalis [coccygea] mediana
Definition
The median caudal vein continues the median sacral vein along the ventral surface of the vertebrae.
Variation:
In equids, the median caudal vein is underdeveloped and continues the median caudal gluteal vein, together with the ventrolateral caudal veins.
