Oblique pericardial sinus
Sinus obliquus pericardii
Definition
The oblique pericardial sinus is a blind pouch located posterior to the left atrium, delineated by the reflections of the serous pericardium around the pulmonary veins.
The oblique pericardial sinus is quite deep in humans, but only slightly marked in domestic mammals and virtually absent in equids and ruminants.
