Truncus pulmonalis
Definition
The pulmonary trunk (or trunk of pulmonary arteries) is the large arterial vessel that originates at the pulmonary orifice of the right ventricle to carry deoxygenated blood to the lungs. It quickly divides into the right pulmonary artery and the left pulmonary artery.
