Sagittal ridge of articular surface of distal phalanx

Crista sagittalis facies articularis phalangis distalis

Definition

In horses, for several authors like Barone or JM Denoix, the articular surface of the distal phalanx is not described as a simple articular fovea (as listed is in the NAV), but as an articular surface including a medial and a lateral glenoid cavity separated by an intermediar eminence sometimes termed as the sagittal ridge of articular surface of distal phalanx.
