The inferior nasal concha is a curved, horizontally oriented bone located within the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. Each inferior concha has two surfaces: an inward-facing (medial) surface and an outward-facing (lateral) surface. It has two ends—anterior (front) and posterior (back)—alongwith two defining borders: superior (top) and inferior (bottom).
下鼻甲是一块弯曲的水平走向骨，位于鼻腔外侧壁内。每块下鼻甲具有两个面：朝向内侧的面（内侧面）和朝向外侧的面（外侧面）。其具有两端——前端（前方）和后端（后方）——以及两条界定缘：上缘（上方）和下缘（下方）。
下鼻甲的内侧面向外侧凸起，朝向鼻中隔。相比之下，外侧面（外面）呈凹陷形态，朝向鼻腔外侧壁。它构成下鼻道的一部分。
下鼻甲的上缘薄而不规则，分为三个独立区域，以精细地与邻近骨骼相连：

- 后区：相对地，后段与腭骨的鼻甲嵴相连。
- 中区：此区进一步细分为三个突起，每个突起均形成重要的连接。(a). 泪突位于最前方，形态细小而尖锐，与泪骨的向下突起相连。(b). 筛突位于后方，与筛骨的钩突相嵌合。(c). 介于两者之间的是一个薄的上颌突，向下外侧弯曲。此突起在上颌窦开口处与上颌骨的内侧面相连。
下缘厚而呈海绵状，在其中央部分尤为明显。鼻甲的前端和后端均略呈渐细状，后端较前端更为尖锐。
