- 上神经节（ganglion superius；颈静脉神经节）位于神经穿过颈静脉孔时所嵌入的沟槽上部。其体积甚小，通常被视为岩神经节的分离部分。
- 下神经节（ganglion petrosum；岩神经节）较上神经节大，位于颞骨岩部下缘的一个下降处。
