The muscles of the anterior compartment of leg are:

  • tibialis anterior
  • extensor hallucis longus
  • extensor digitorum longus
  • fibularis tertius (peroneus tertius)

The muscles of the compartment are dorsiflexors of foot, supplied by the deep fibular nerve (deep peroneal nerve) and anterior tibial artery.
