The superior trunk of the brachial plexus divides into two primary divisions: an anterior division and a posterior division. The anterior division of superior trunk of brachial plexus joins with the anterior division of the middle trunk to form the lateral cord of the brachial plexus.

Notably, no nerve branches emerge directly from the divisions of the brachial plexus.
