Definition

The clavicular head of sternocleidomastoid muscle is composed of fleshy and aponeurotic fibers, arising from the upper, frontal surface of the medial third of the clavicle and coursing almost vertically upward to unit with the sternal head of sternocleidomastoid muscle.
