The segmental inferior basal vein of the left lung is a tributary of the left inferior pulmonary vein that drains the basal segments of the left lower lobe, specifically collecting blood from the posterior basal bronchopulmonary segment (S10).

The inferior basal vein, along with other basal segmental veins (from segments S8, S9, and S10), typically converge to form the left inferior pulmonary vein before entering the left atrium but also may join the superior basal vein of left lung to form the common basal vein of left lung.
