Lateral pubovesical ligament
Ligamentum laterale pubovesicale
Definition
The lateral pubovesical ligament is a paired fibromuscular condensation of the endopelvic fascia that extends from the posterior aspect of the pubic bone and the tendinous arch of the pelvic fascia to the inferolateral surface of the urinary bladder and the bladder neck in women. It lies lateral to the medial pubovesical ligament and blends with the perivesical fascia surrounding the bladder.
